Hi Will, the following Mk2 Scirocco had the rear script: GTI (1982-1984), GTL (1985) and the very early GTX models of 1985 vintage. You will have no problems with the script being visible under the large spoiler of a GT2 when viewed from a car following you!

Hi,
Which model had the large scirocco sticker across the rear window. I’ve bought one off e-bay but not sure it will be visible on my GT2 passed the spoiler.

100,000 miles just run it. my 88 gt has just done over 270,000 all points mentioned are good ones had most of those problems in the last 12 years. standard exhaust easy to seperate at manifold just use a large screwdriver and ping those clips of. Only problem I have is finding a windsreen.

I have just taken up the slack on the drivers door by first packing under the door with timber then removing the nut that holds the top hinge of the door, part the door from the fixed section on the car and place a thick metal washer between the hinge and the fixed section.Replace the nut that hold the door through the holes in the hinge and the washer and make it tight, Bingo the door closes back on the locking bar as was.Much easer .

The Scala of 1990 will be the higher spec car Andy. These cars came with fuel injection, alloy wheels, tilt/slide sunroof and central locking was an option.

Only the last of the line 1992 GT2 came fully loaded with all the options.

So which is the higher specced car as of 1990 – the Scala or the GT2?

I’m viewing one of each and they are fairly similarly priced.
