Independent VW specialist recommendations in North London?

Can anyone recommend a good independent VW specialist in North London, preferably near N15, who could fix a clutch/gearbox problem without charging the earth?

I know of Kelvin Motor Wagons in Finsbury Park but have never used them, and usually get my Mk 2 GTL MOT'ed at Denton Motor Services on Ferry Lane (though I feel they used to be better when they were based in Stamford Hill under the name Gray's).

Problem is clutch not releasing after the cable ripped through the bulkhead. Bulkhead now fixed and cable adjusted but virtually no resistance operating the lever (ie only resistance is from return spring not the diaphragm spring), see http://www.sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/carforum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3811 for details if you think you can help.
