Drilling Through The Bulkhead

Postby Risocco » Tue May 05, 2009 4:36 pm

Hi guys, wanna make a hole to send a couple of senders through to the engine from the cabin. Car is carb'd so cant use the (Im guessing) factory hole for the choke cable. Any suggestions? Are there any holes as standard I could use that I've missed?

Cheers in advance for any help :good:

There are a selection of holes with grommets on the bulkhead behind the fusebox - i've always used one of these - mine is FI
I just get a new grommet make a small hole and then push the wire through from the inside and then insert grommet. Once cable in place a dash of silicon seal around the wire/grommet hole makes sure its waterproof

Doesnt take much drilling to be fair - i drilled out a big area round the clutch cable before plate welding it

Decent drill and bit will go through almost instantly - its quite thin :shocking:
