RE TRIM

Evening all.
Right more help/views or thoughts please.
I posted before ref STORM INTERIOR/LEATHER etc etc, now having transplanted the blue leather into my gt2 it does not do it for me just to blue with blue.
The next step is to refit the standard interior but with an overhaul ,have a contact with local bus company here who will undertake the retrim I just need to get the fabric/material.
So any pointers and whats the opinions on colour etc etc, I guess that I looking for inspiration nothing blingy or over the top.

Hey mate, I know this isnt exactly what you're asking for but have you thought about re-dying the storm leathers?

Im having this done myself and its costing me about half the price of retrimming my standard interior to leather to have the storm leathers repaired and re-dyed...

No I think I would like to go down the retrim route
The labour is costing me nothing(well I say nothing I fixed this guy sat/aerial and his old fella and when I visit his brother in Boston Ma I always get a job on the roof) so I just need the fabric.
Does not have to be leather or faux leather but as I said need inspiration

Check out Canadian brouchures, the Scirocco 'slegato' came with some pretty funky factory cloth -be great to copy if you like that sort of thing. Which I do

The red selgato very like red scala and the other would put me in mind of golf trims(as per description) but thanks my man.
Right back on track looked on ebay googled it etc cant see any thing that jumps right out ,so ideas or steers where to look for fabric would be great.

For high contrast, blue always sets off well with yellow or orange, but if those are too garish for you, I reckon a nice red would look classy and nicely contrasted. If you don't want too much of a contrast, a rich light to mid grey would be V. stylish. What material are you thinking? Velour's nice and comfy and looks cool (until you mark it, then it's instantly horrendous and old looking). Velour centre section with leather edge/bolster is a great combo. As for sources, I'll try to find out. Know a few people in textiles/fabrics. Not sure if relevant to the auto trade though.

Have you tried putting a post on vzi ( sorry to mention them)
but there are car trimmers that use the site - might be
able to give you a steer on where to get the right sort of
fabrics. Will be going down this route myself shortly so the
outcome is interesting!
