Postby shrek235 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 10:17 am

Hi can anyone tell me if a mk1 boot will fit straight onto a mk2 GTII???? Also, I know this question is in the wrong topic but I am going to attempt a auto to manual tranny change. I have read all the gumpf and just wondering if anyone has a spare gearbox linkages etc basically a donor car.... :training:

:yup: 'Fit' as in it will open and close and not fall off as per a normal boot lid

Well, I'm sure you could attach one and get it to open and close. It wouldn't be air- or water- tight, nor cosmetically pleasing.

They are nothing like each other. The Mk1 is smaller so you'll have a massive gap.
Do not go there!!! :shocking:
